Horseback Riding at Texas Horse Park Inc.

I had the opportunity to visit Texas Horse Park Inc. for a friends birthday and I absolutely loved it. Horseback riding is such a peaceful experience and I encourage everyone to try it out at least once. It was a bit challenging to find places to go horseback riding in Dallas, TX but this place was awesome. We were a little late and thought we missed our ride but thankfully they worked with us. The staff is amazing, they treated us like their extended family. If you’re looking for a cute place to go horseback riding in Dallas, definitely consider this place. The park is only a 15 minute drive east of Downtown Dallas.
After the ride you’re allowed to feed the horses. I’m a bit of a germaphobe so initially, I was like absolutely not! I’m so glad that I let go of that mindset and allowed myself to experience it because it was fun in the end. Plus, who doesn’t enjoy trying new things. The horses are so sweet, a little eager to eat so don’t play with their food, lol.
Overall this is a beautiful place for a date or a night with friends. There are a ton of beautiful trees that I’m sure look amazing in spring or after snow storm. We caught it right at the end of fall so we didn’t get the full experience but I will definitely be back! The ride is about an hour long and towards the end you stop as a group to take pictures near the lake (see below).
