The Beginning

Have you ever been so hard on yourself that it pushes you away from your goals instead of encouraging you to accomplish them? This seems to have been my story pretty much since graduating from college. I always thought that I’d be doing things a little bit differently at this point in my life. I thought I’d be doing more in different ways because that’s what was expected of me. I had an idea of the things I wanted to achieve deep down, but I wasn’t sure how I’d get there. I knew how people told me I should get there and I wanted so badly to do it their way because surely they had it all figured out. After all, if you don’t know what it takes to make your dreams reality and someone is offering suggestions they’ve got to have it all figured out…right? I learned the hard way that’s so far from the truth that it’s ridiculous.

We all have our own path, literally; which is funny because it’s so cliché and you hear it so often, but the crazy thing is…it’s TRUE! Or at least has been proven to be true in my life. One of the hardest things I’ve done over the years was accepting this truth. I’ve learned that people won’t always understand where I’m going or what it will take for ME to get there and somehow even knowing that truth, I don’t always follow it. I welcome my  readers to join me on this new, long overdue journey that I am about to embark on.

Fear and lack of self confidence have held me captive far too long. Simply starting, was the best thing that I could’ve ever done for myself. Any time that I feel a negative thought in relation to my future or my business I am encouraged to continue pushing. None of this would be possible if I hadn’t made the decision to get up and try again despite my previous failure and the strong opinions of those around me. I encourage all of my readers to START whatever it is that you’ve delayed in your life. You must follow YOUR dreams, trust the process!
